Cards
Making individual cards is a regular activity and I have used them to keep in touch with family and friends over the years. I enjoy playing around with the shapes and patterns created by found objects both natural and constructed.
Garden series
More recently I have enjoyed collecting, pressing and drying leaves and flowers from the garden, scanning them in and using simple online graphics programmes to develop them further into sets of cards, bookmarks and patterns around a specific theme or image. The examples shown here include acer and curly willow leaves, cornflower petals and the delicate flowers and foliage of geranium robertianum, known as Herb Robert.
